What you’ll do

  1. Pickup at your resort

    Guests are picked up from hotels in Punta Cana and Bávaro. Pickup time varies by location and is confirmed after booking.

  2. Transfer to Santo Domingo

    Travel by air-conditioned bus for about three hours toward the capital city. Enjoy a scenic drive through the Dominican countryside.

  3. Welcome and city orientation

    Meet your professional guide for an introduction to Santo Domingo’s history, landmarks, and cultural importance.

  4. Colonial Zone exploration

    Walk through the UNESCO World Heritage Site to visit the Cathedral of Santa María la Menor, Columbus House, and the Pantheon.

  5. Historic and panoramic stops

    Visit Los Tres Ojos caves, Columbus Lighthouse, and enjoy panoramic views of the Presidential Palace and colonial fortresses.

  6. Lunch and free time

    Savor a Dominican lunch, then enjoy 45 minutes of free time along Conde Peatonal and Las Damas Street for shopping and photos.

  7. Return transfer

Important details

  • The drive from Punta Cana to Santo Domingo is approximately 3 hours each way
  • Long pants/skirts are mandatory to enter the cathedral. A visit to a gift store in SD is optional
  • Not Suitable for pregnant women

  • Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult

Yes, roundtrip transportation is available for all hotels in the Bavaro/Punta Cana area. Transportation can be accommodated for most Airbnb's as well.
